Q: Are dogs welcome?

A: Yes, dogs are more than welcome (we welcome multi-dog households - at no extra cost).  We have a fenced off dog walk and public footpath straight from the property that leads to the village, common and river. Dogs are allowed in all rooms and have their own welcome basket on arrival.  We allocate a private exercise paddock on arrival to accompany your private 1/4 acre garden. You can also hire a set of agility equipment for the duration of your stay.   Wales is very dog friendly and many eating places and visitor attractions welcome dogs, this includes 2 dog friendly pubs and cafe, a 15 minute walk from the Coach House. Further afield we have forests, lakes, mountains and beaches that are great places to take dogs for walks.

Q: How secure is the private garden for pets?


A: Derwen Coach House comes with a large private  fenced off outdoor garden It is surrounded by a post and rail  fence with stock netting. 

Q: How far are the nearest cafe/pub/restaurant?

A: The local village Llangadog is approximately 600m (15min walk) and has 3 pubs, 2 with restaurants and 1 cafe (all dog friendly).  Please download the PDF information booklet for more information. 

Q: How far is the nearest shop/garage?

A: 600m away is Llangadog village has a local village shop, butchers and a Post Office for basic supplies. If you are looking for a bigger supermarket  either Llandovery or Llandeilo both have large Co-ops. The local garage for fuel, baguettes pastries and small  general store is just the other side of Llangadog towards Llandeilo, a quick 5 min drive.

Q: Do you have WiFi? How much?


A: WiFi is provided free of charge in Derwen Coach House, the password can be found in the kitchen.

Q: What are your payment terms and options?


A: We ask for a £50.00 deposit to secure the booking and final payment 2 weeks before arrival. This can be by bank transfer, PayPal or cleared cheque. Please also see our booking terms on the booking page, this also contains information regarding cancelation and COVID-19.  On booking your holiday you will receive an email with details of payment options and details.  

Because we are a small company and only have one holiday cottage we do not have card payment facilities at present.
